Oral administration of thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) in the diagnosis of thyreopathies. 1978

V Felt, and J Nedvídková

The authors summarize their experience with a simple test for the diagnosis of hyper--and hypothyroidism after oral administration of thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH). The practical advantage of this test is the absence of unpleasant side-effects described after the intravenous administration and elimination of stress of the patients and health workers associated with injection.
