A TEAM approach to NICU care. 1999

K G Ward
ICU, Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla., USA.

The NICU can be a very stressful place not only for the infants who need intensive care, but also for their parents. By implementing family-centered care using the TEAM model described here, nurses can make baby's stay less upsetting, promote bonding between parents and child, and help improve postpartum care.
