Xeroradiography is a newer technique of radiologic imaging which provides both a wide recording latitude and the phenomenon of edge enhancement. It is the phenomenon of edge enhancement in particular which allows for excellent imaging of mucous membrane anatomy and abnormalities. The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate the role of xeroradiography in the assessment of the pediatric larynx and trachea, with particular reference to the evaluation of tracheal stenosis.
