Community assistance for rape victims. 1976

This paper describes a program designed to use trained volunteer companions in crisis intervention with rape victims in a public hospital emergency room. The history of the extensive negotiations necessary to implement the program and detailed descriptions of volunteer training are included. Results are largely in the form of subjective experience.
