It is claimed that this Annotations on Synopsis of Jade Book of Golden Chamber written by the Japanese Kitamura Tadahiro may possibly recover, to a great extent, the original face of Jingui (Synopsis of Golden Chamber) through textual research. This is supported by the author's own study. It is also held that Kitamura's expounding on Jingui's theory is unique, based on his rich medical practice. This is of significant reference value to both clinical practice and textual research.
