Lytic effect of di- or tricarboxylic acids plus sodium dodecyl sulfate against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. 1979

F W Adair, and S G Geftic, and H Heymann

Pseudomonas aeruginosa was rapidly lysed and killed when treated with several multiple-carboxylic acids at 100 micrograms/ml, followed by exposure to sodium dodecyl sulfate at 5 mg/ml.

D011550 Pseudomonas aeruginosa A species of gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped bacteria commonly isolated from clinical specimens (wound, burn, and urinary tract infections). It is also found widely distributed in soil and water. P. aeruginosa is a major agent of nosocomial infection.
