Ambulatory surgery is a concept of organization, organization centered on the patient. It is an innovation whose development depends on policies of accompaniment that are devoted to it. As for all innovation the patients or the society can't profit of its benefits if its conditions are not respected. Recognized international definitions all insist on its qualified character and on its substitution effect.
