The authors propose an easy radiological classification of the various lower esophageal rings. They distinguish between the ring which are linked with a disorders at the gastroesophageal junction such as Schatzki's mucous rings and the peptic rings and those which are not such a congenital and muscular rings. The first category is the most frequent.
