Prenatal diagnosis of trisomy 13 with decision not to terminate pregnancy. 1976

We report the antenatal diagnosis of trisomy 13 syndrome using cultured amniotic fluid cells. Our patient, in contrast to previous patients, elected to continue the pregnancy to term. A description of the fetus is given, and a rationale for management is discussed.
