Possible linkage of HL-A and GLO. 1976

W R Mayr, and D Mayr, and J Kömpf, and S Bissbort, and H Ritter

In 21 informative families with 60 children, a possible linkage between HL-A and GLO was found (recombination fraction approximatively 0.15). The sequence of the loci on chromosome 6 might be GLO, HL-A, PGM3, MNSs.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007791 Lactoylglutathione Lyase An enzyme that catalyzes the interconversion of methylglyoxal and lactate, with glutathione serving as a coenzyme. EC 4.4.1.5. Glyoxalase I,Lactoyl Glutathione Lyase,Methylglyoxalase,Glutathione Lyase, Lactoyl,Lyase, Lactoyl Glutathione,Lyase, Lactoylglutathione
D008040 Genetic Linkage The co-inheritance of two or more non-allelic GENES due to their being located more or less closely on the same CHROMOSOME. D008190 Lyases A class of enzymes that catalyze the cleavage of C-C, C-O, and C-N, and other bonds by other means than by hydrolysis or oxidation. (Enzyme Nomenclature, 1992) EC 4. Desmolase,Desmolases,Lyase
D008297 Male Males
D010733 Phosphoglucomutase An enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of alpha D-glucose 1-phosphate to alpha D-glucose 6-phosphate. EC 5.4.2.2. Glucose Phosphomutase,Phosphomutase, Glucose
D002648 Child A person 6 to 12 years of age. An individual 2 to 5 years old is CHILD, PRESCHOOL. Children
D002906 Chromosomes, Human, 6-12 and X The medium-sized, submetacentric human chromosomes, called group C in the human chromosome classification. This group consists of chromosome pairs 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 and the X chromosome. D006649 Histocompatibility Antigens A group of antigens that includes both the major and minor histocompatibility antigens. The former are genetically determined by the major histocompatibility complex. They determine tissue type for transplantation and cause allograft rejections. The latter are systems of allelic alloantigens that can cause weak transplant rejection. D006680 HLA Antigens Antigens determined by leukocyte loci found on chromosome 6, the major histocompatibility loci in humans. They are polypeptides or glycoproteins found on most nucleated cells and platelets, determine tissue types for transplantation, and are associated with certain diseases.
