[Mediastinal Hodgkin's disease and non-Hodgkin lymphoma in childhood]. 2002

A retrospective evaluation was carried out of the data on 319 children, aged up to 15, with mediastinal Hodgkin's disease, treated at Petrov Research Institute of Oncology (1973-1999). Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was diagnosed in 113 patients (35.5%); Hodgkin's disease--205 (64.5%). Correlations were established between certain patterns of disease, on the one hand, and age, duration of disease, clinical and hematological features, on the other. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was relatively more aggressive.
