[Prevention Professionals: historical cues and prospects]. 2003

There are some prevention-associated health skills that have existed in Italy since 1800. This study is based on the professional evolution of such practices as the prevention consultant's or the health assistant's over more than a century. It also focuses on the impact that the Italian Health Reform, the NHS new orientation as well as the University Reform have had on public training schemes over the last ten years.
