E G Pedachenko

The specific features of craniocerebral trauma in diffuse toxic goiter were studied from analysis of 34 cases. The craniocerebral trauma aggravated the course of diffuse toxic goiter with the development of thyreotoxic crises in the first days after the trauma in one of five patients. The therapeutic tactics in thyreotoxic crisis and the preoperative and postoperative management of patients are discussed.
