[Permeability of the blood-brain barrier for metals in bacterial meningoencephalitis]. 1992

O A Iarosh

A study was made of blood-brain barrier permeability for metals in 50 patients depending on the period and gravity of bacterial meningoencephalitis. Selective permeability of the blood-brain barrier for metals is aimed in different periods of the inflammatory process at the retention of the mineral composition of the cerebrospinal fluid within the limits required for normal function of the central nervous system.
