[A case of carpal tunnel syndrome caused by an abnormality of the palmaris longus muscle]. 1991

The authors present a rare case of carpal tunnel syndrome caused by accessory head of palmaris longus muscle of a soft tissue tumor appearance. Clinical examination was typical for carpal tunnel syndrome. X-ray revealed no bony abnormalities. An ultrasound aided diagnosis, that was finally confirmed intra operatively and by histopathology.
