The pronounced pathomorphosis complicates the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis, especially with round growths in lungs. In the author's opinion the reasons that lead to the errors in the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis are the following: as a rule, the diagnosis is made only on the basis of clinico-roentgenological data; lack of oncological anxiety; overestimation of trial chemotherapy by means of tuberculostatic medications. In cases of the indeterminate diagnosis it is recommended to arrive at the decision on operation within the shortest possible time.
