[Autologous osteochondral graft: a method for resurfacing osteonecrosis of the medial femoral condyle in the elderly (author's transl)]. 1978

J Y de la Caffinière

The author describes an original technique for resurfacing osteonecrotic medial femoral condyles. The centre and posterior part of the condyle is displaced anteriorly into the weight-bearing area. The indications for this technique are cases in which there is no deformity in the frontal plane and when the tibial articular cartilage is normal. Two cases were so treated. After a follow up of three and five years the results were very good.
