[Pediatric otorhinolaryngology in Russia: state of the art, problems and prospects]. 2006

Achievements of present-day pediatric otorhinolaryngology are demonstrated: novel techniques of diagnosing hypoacusis and deafness providing objective evidence on hearing at any age; development of cochlear implantation in children; introduction of diagnostic and therapeutic ENT endoscopy, therapeutic and surgical laser procedures into wide practice, new approaches to ENT pediatrician training. It is suggested to register officially pediatric otorhinolaryngology.
