[Rethoracotomies in the postoperative period]. 1991

A A Sadovnikov, and A D Kuznetsova

The authors have performed 22 rethoracotomies. The causes of rethoracotomies were as follows: intrapleural bleedings, coagulated hemothorax, hermetic lung tissue, gangrene of the lung, bronchial fistula, atelectasis of the middle lobe and an error in diagnosis. Of great significance is the diagnosing of the postoperative complication and establishment of indications for rethoracotomy. Errors and problems in it show that the indication for reoperation should be established as early as possible.
