A natural outbreak of infectious bursal disease occurred in an experimental broiler flock being reared on 3 starter diets having 18.8, 21.6 and 24.0 per cent protein. Groups fed the highest protein starter exhibited significantly higher mortality and had larger numbers of stunted birds.
