[Treatment of reflex syndromes in osteochondrosis by long-term block of the lumbar ganglia of the borderline sympathetic trunks]. 1991

A method of the treatment of severe reflex syndromes of osteochondrosis marked by vegetative manifestations by means of a prolonged blockade of lumbar ganglia of the borderline sympathetic trunks has been designed. It was applied to the treatment of 20 patients. The conclusion is made about the method efficacy.

D012019	Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy	A syndrome characterized by severe burning pain in an extremity accompanied by sudomotor, vasomotor, and trophic changes in bone without an associated specific nerve injury. This condition is most often precipitated by trauma to soft tissue or nerve complexes. The skin over the affected region is usually erythematous and demonstrates hypersensitivity to tactile stimuli and erythema.
