[Hemodynamic and oxygen supply during exercise in patients with cardiac pacing during treatment of heart failure]. 1991

Invasive and non-invasive tools were used to examine the specific features of exercise hemodynamic and oxygen supply in time in 25 patients with heart failure who underwent permanent pacing during a long-term glycoside and vasodilator therapy. It is shown that treatment with glycosides and vasodilators should be used in patients having severe myocardial systolic dysfunction and undergoing pacing. In the absence of this abnormality, it is advisable to use peripheral vasodilators (corvaton or sydnopharm) and diuretics for a long time.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D008875 Middle Aged An adult aged 45 - 64 years. Middle Age
D010101 Oxygen Consumption The rate at which oxygen is used by a tissue; microliters of oxygen STPD used per milligram of tissue per hour; the rate at which oxygen enters the blood from alveolar gas, equal in the steady state to the consumption of oxygen by tissue metabolism throughout the body. D002303 Cardiac Output, Low A state of subnormal or depressed cardiac output at rest or during stress. It is a characteristic of CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES, including congenital, valvular, rheumatic, hypertensive, coronary, and cardiomyopathic. The serious form of low cardiac output is characterized by marked reduction in STROKE VOLUME, and systemic vasoconstriction resulting in cold, pale, and sometimes cyanotic extremities.
