[Posterior scleral reinforcement in myopia--a harmless intervention?]. 1991

It is presented the observation of a patient (42 years old) with short-sightedness at whom has been practised scleroplasty at one eye. After the surgical intervention the short-sightedness has continued, to grow, the visual acuity receded and a detachment of the retina appeared in the intervention scar area. The study insists on some possible complications after the intervention, rarely mentioned by the authors.
