Keeping up: the nurse executive's present and future role in information technology. 2008

Information management is a required competency for nurse executives, both for current and future practice. This article describes the chief nursing executive's role in information technology, presents suggestions for maintaining information technology competency, and shares how one hospital devised a simple tool to make information more usable for the nursing leadership team.
