The methods of investigations by means of electroretinography, electrooculography, electronystagmography and electromyography and the use of visual evoked potentials are presented. Described are experimental investigations and the obtained results in animals (frogs, rabbits and vietnamese pigs) by several Polish research workers and contained in ca. 120 works published in the period 1960-1986.
