An improved method of phase titration has been developed for the analysis of binary or pseudo-binary systems. A clarification end-point is used in place of the usual cloud end-point. Advantages are that end-points are equally sharp over a wide sample composition range, the titration volume is a very nearly linear function of composition so that often only one calibration point is needed, and the technique can be extended to cover the entire binary composition range.
