[Surgical treatment of closed-angle glaucoma]. 1991

The efficacy of sclerocyclodialysis surgical technique was analyzed in 65 patients (67 eyes) with closed-angle glaucoma with organic blocking of the anterior chamber corner. Ophthalmic tone normalization directly after surgery was achieved in all the cases; in late periods (1 to 3.5 years after the operation) the best hypotensive effect with improved or preserved visual functions was observed mainly in the patients with the initial or well-developed stages of the glaucomatous process.
