Microtoilet of the ear and treatment of pathologic processes in the upper respiratory tract in the preoperative period the authors consider important for success in surgery. The best functional results were achieved with tympanoplasty bearing in mind adjustment of operative technic for each case depending on the nature and spreading of the process. The most frequent recurrences occurred in patients with cholesteatoma surgery (32%).
