[Late results of surgical treatment of pathology of the cysto- ureteral segment in children]. 1990

I N Grigovich, and G A Otvagina, and A A Khokhlov, and T I Berezhanskaia

The authors analyze 124 reimplantations of ureters in 97 patients aged from 6 months to 14 years. Long-term results were followed-up in 84 patients within the period from 2 to 5 years after surgery. A conclusion was made that the main causes of bad and satisfactory results of the operative treatment of the pathology of the bladder-ureter segment are a persistent infection of the urinary system, insufficient observation in the polyclinic after discharge from the hospital and early age of the patients.
