Sexual dysfunction is common in patients with long-term neurologica conditions. Nurses are well placed to engage patients in discussions about any sexual problems they may be experiencing. This article outlines the different types and causes of sexual dysfunction in patients with long-term neurological conditions, and identifies potential treatment options and practical advice to offer patients.
