Idiopathic cyclic edema in women. 1975

B Bailey, and R Henderson

This little known syndrome of "idiopathic edema of women" appears to be quite common. An early study suggests a possible psychogenic link between the genetic potential for diabetes and maturity onset diabetes in the female, and alerts the family physician to ask female patients who come to be labelled as "crocks" about their swelling patterns.
