This work demonstrates the results of treatment of 14 patients with complicated injury of the femur. In all cases external fixation, type Poldi 7 was used. Of great importance from the viewpoint of treatment is the following: - proper revision with sequestrectomy and resec tion of necrotic fragments; - exact technics of aplication the external fixation; - adequate stabilisation of the modification of de vices; - necessity the changes between the type modifica tions Poldi 7 devices; - early and usually repeated cancellous bone graf ting. The evaluation shows the difficulty of treatment and also longterm healthy, social and famillies consequences.
