Attempted experimental transmission of pseudorabies virus to European starlings (Sturnus vulgaris). 1978

Forty European starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) were inoculated orally with pseudorabies virus. Subsequent attempts to isolate the virus from feces, liver, lung and kidney of the birds were negative; antibody against the virus could not be detected in their serums.
