Phytolaccatoxin is one of the main toxic constituents in Radix Phytolaccae. In this communication, the quantity of phytolaccatoxin is determined by TLC-scanning method. Convenient, rapid and dependable, the method can be used to control the quality of Radix Phytolaccae.
