Orthodontic techniques for uprighting the mesio-angularly impacted lower third molar. 1991

An impacted lower third molar can sometimes be uprighted orthodontically to provide a functional tooth. Many such cases can be managed by the interested GDP, although more complex mechanics are probably best left to the specialist. This article reviews the indications for treatment, and describes appropriate techniques.
