The objective of this study was to measure the titer of autoantibodies of different specificity in patients with hepatic cirrhosis in relation to the etiology of the process and activity of progression of hepatitis to cirrhosis. Analysis of the clinical and laboratory findings (a set of hematological, biochemical, and immunological parameters) in 48 patients established a relationship between the titer of antimitochondrial autoantibodies and the progression of hepatic cirrhosis of autoimmune etiology.
