Magnetic resonance imaging of chondromyxoid fibroma of the third metatarsal. 1990

M Mitchell, and D J Sartoris, and D Resnick
Department of Radiology, University of California, San Diego.

The authors describe, radiographically, the case of an ill-defined, soft tissue lesion in the third metatarsal of a 28-year-old male. Angiographic assessment with magnetic resonance imaging provided clear visualization of the tumor. Pathologic examination is also reviewed.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D008279 Magnetic Resonance Imaging Non-invasive method of demonstrating internal anatomy based on the principle that atomic nuclei in a strong magnetic field absorb pulses of radiofrequency energy and emit them as radiowaves which can be reconstructed into computerized images. The concept includes proton spin tomographic techniques.
