The authors present their own experience with operations of the middle ear under conditions of controlled hypotension. They compare the action of Nipride, Nipride + Halothane and beta-blockers on reduction of haemorrhage in the surgical field. They also describe their procedure for inducing hypotension which is suitable for microsurgical operations.
