[Characteristics of the surgical treatment of nodular forms of dyshormonal hyperplasia of the breast]. 1990

L D Batalina

Analysis of the case histories of 116 patients who were hospitalized for a second time after sectoral resection of the mammary gland conducted earlier for dyshormonal hyperplasia showed that the possible causes of the discovered changes could be, on the one hand, incomplete removal or failure of removal of the pathological focus, and, on the other, advancement of changes in the remaining part of the gland, particularly in the presence of epithelial proliferation. This requires careful techniques of sectoral resection and continuous postoperative control.
