[Standardization of environmental electromagnetic fields generated by meteorological radars]. 1989

N G Nikitina, and D S Ivanov

An analysis of some traditional techniques for the determination of the non-working level of electromagnetic radiation of meteorological radars is provided. New approaches with higher strictness of definition and formalism are proposed.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D008452 Maximum Allowable Concentration The maximum exposure to a biologically active physical or chemical agent that is allowed during an 8-hour period (a workday) in a population of workers, or during a 24-hour period in the general population, which does not appear to cause appreciable harm, whether immediate or delayed for any period, in the target population. D011825 Radar A system using beamed and reflected radio signals to and from an object in such a way that range, bearing, and other characteristics of the object may be determined.
D012044 Regression Analysis Procedures for finding the mathematical function which best describes the relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables. In linear regression (see LINEAR MODELS) the relationship is constrained to be a straight line and LEAST-SQUARES ANALYSIS is used to determine the best fit. In logistic regression (see LOGISTIC MODELS) the dependent variable is qualitative rather than continuously variable and LIKELIHOOD FUNCTIONS are used to find the best relationship. In multiple regression, the dependent variable is considered to depend on more than a single independent variable.
