[Osteoscintigraphy in the diagnosis of latent psoriatic arthritis]. 1989

S G Milevskaia, and V G Borodulin

The authors analyze the findings of clinical, x-ray, and osteoscintigraphic examinations of 69 patients with psoriasis. Osteoscintigraphy has revealed latent psoriatic arthropathy in 49 (71%) patients. This method is an effective diagnostic tool for the detection of early involvement of the bone-and-joint system in psoriasis.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007202 Indicators and Reagents Substances used for the detection, identification, analysis, etc. of chemical, biological, or pathologic processes or conditions. Indicators are substances that change in physical appearance, e.g., color, at or approaching the endpoint of a chemical titration, e.g., on the passage between acidity and alkalinity. Reagents are substances used for the detection or determination of another substance by chemical or microscopical means, especially analysis. Types of reagents are precipitants, solvents, oxidizers, reducers, fluxes, and colorimetric reagents. D011877 Radionuclide Imaging The production of an image obtained by cameras that detect the radioactive emissions of an injected radionuclide as it has distributed differentially throughout tissues in the body. The image obtained from a moving detector is called a scan, while the image obtained from a stationary camera device is called a scintiphotograph.
