[Expert evaluation of work capacity and economic losses in acute diseases of the scrotal organs]. 1989

Results of the treatment of 160 patients with acute scrotal diseases comprising 6.6 per cent of all the treated at the urological department of emergency aid hospital in Kishinev were analyzed. A medium term of hospitalization was 9.27 days. 55.9 per cent of the patients were discharged from the hospital immediately to work without visiting the out-patient departments. The time of total incapacity for work in those patients was 14.9 days and made the rounds of 413.68 roubles. Economic return of early surgical management was 371.12 roubles. An equation estimating the cost a case with acute scrotal disease was presented.
