[Twenty-nail dystrophy]. 1989

An idiopathic case of twenty-nail dystrophy observed in a 6 year old girl, is reported. Histopathological features obtained from a nail matrix biopsy specimen excluded lichen planus or other skin diseases. The various pathogenetic hypotheses are discussed.
