[Gas-chromatographic analysis of thionyl chloride in the air of the work area]. 1989

A I Burina

A sensitive and selective procedure of gaschromatographic identification of thionyl chloride in the workplace air is set forth. The Soviet chromatograph of the series of Tsvet-100 with an electron capture detector is proposed. The air sampling of thionyl chloride has been carried out through 0.2 g of CKT activated carbon (fractions of 0.25-0.50) at the rate of 2 l/min for 5 min. The limit of thionyl chloride identification in the air equals 0.1 mg/m3. Relative standard deviation does not exceed 0.266.
