[The hormone level of patients with peptic ulcer being treated with L-dopa]. 1989

N G Tretiak

The basal level of adaptative hormones was assessed by means of the radioimmunological method in 80 patients with uncomplicated duodenal ulcer: in 40 of them before and after traditional treatment in the remaining 40 patients before and after L-DOPA treatment. It was found that employment of L-DOPA in patients with duodenal ulcer produces a positive effect, changes the hormonal picture, favorably influences ulcer epithelialization.
