Clinical Dental Photography in Orthodontic Practice. 2016

Philip Wander

As with many aspects of clinical photography, the main purpose of dental photography is to help the dentist or clinician to monitor and document the patient's treatment. Standardisation is key in maintaining high quality clinical photography, and this article aims to help the photographer to produce the level of consistency and reproducibility needed in order to keep accurate clinical records, create treatment plans and prepare portfolios for orthodontic qualifications, such as a Master of Science (MSc) in orthodontics, or diplomas and awards in orthodontics for dental nurses and therapists.
