Clinical results showed that besides organic, psychological and psychosocial factors are implicated in spontaneous and recurrent spontaneous abortions and that psychotherapy may help women to prevent abortion. Diagnostic and therapeutic criteria were discussed in order to improve relevant preventive and curative interventions.
