Clearly the malignant hyperthermia crisis offers a significant challenge in the well cosmetic surgical patient. Aggressive early treatment is mandatory in these cases. Any delay can be disastrous. At times, the crisis may be aborted due to such therapy, leaving some doubt as to the current diagnosis. With such a disease entity, this is the hopeful scenario.
