Comparison of smartphone addiction and loneliness in high school and university students. 2018

OBJECTIVE This study was conducted to compare the relationship between the smartphone addiction and loneliness in high school and university students. METHODS A correlation and descriptive study from a convenience sample of 1156 high school and university students. Questionnaire, Smartphone Addiction scale, and Short Loneliness scale were used to collect the data of the study. RESULTS No relationship was found between the smartphone addiction and loneliness in high school and university students. It is recommended to organize comprehensive training programs for the students and their families in the school health services.
