An overview of the California workers' compensation system. 1988

R M McGee
California Workers' Compensation Institute, San Francisco.

Nearly every working Californian is protected by workers' compensation for any job-related injury. Because of its size and the nature of its program, California pays out twice as much in benefits as any other state. The author describes the administration of the compensation system, its costs and the results.
